Director of Family Ministries
Chris joined the PC3 staff as the Director of Student Ministries. He came to us after nineteen years in a similar role in a church in Raleigh where he developed a passion for working with students, parents, and leaders.
Chris was born and raised in Raleigh and has always been close to family. He was the youngest of three and was always a part of a sport or a game somewhere. After watching his older brother and sister play sports all their life, Chris followed in their footsteps. After high school he followed his brother and sister to UNC Chapel Hill (can we all say “Go Heels!) where he really began to develop his faith in Christ. He was surrounded by an amazing group of people in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and he began to understand what it meant to be a Christian leader.
After college Chris got the job as the Youth Director at a local YMCA directing a few day camps. He quickly learned that his passion was really leading the high school and college kids who worked for him. After a year at the “Y”, a local church was looking for a one-year intern to lead their youth group. Chris instantly knew this was where God was leading him. That one year turned into two, two into ten, and ten into nineteen.
As the ministry grew, one of Chris’ best decisions was to hire a young lady named Karin to lead the middle school ministry. After several years of working together, Chris and Karin realized that God had brought them together for another reason. They have been happily married since 2002. Their son CJ was born in 2004 and their daughter Kylie was born in 2006 and this family of four loves to spend time together.
Chris has a passion for helping people discover God’s love for them and for building leaders in the church and he is so excited to be a part of the staff at PC3.Contact Chris
