Pastor of Worship Arts
Currently Chris serves as the Pastor of Worship Arts, which is just a fancy way to say that he oversees the service programming of the Weekend Service and some of our special events. Programming means that Chris works with some incredibly talented people who create music, produce videos, build sets and make all the technical production stuff work. Sometimes he gets to lead worship on the weekend, but most of my time is spent orchestrating the creative process to make the Weekend Service happen.
Chris grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta). He attended Georgia State University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Music Industry Program. During college, Chris started working as a part-time youth pastor at the church where I grew up. After college, he worked full-time in that same church as youth pastor and worship leader for 5 more years. In 1999, Chris resigned that position to do something absolutely insane – start this church with his wife & brother-in-law & his wife. God has a great sense of humor!
Chris was married to his wife Cindy in December of 1992. They have three children, Mackenzie, who was born in 1996 and Caleb, who was born in 1998, and their newest addition – Annie Grace who was born in May of 2009. That’s right, they have teenagers AND a baby… crazy isn’t it? They spend a lot of time on the soccer field and at the beach – when it’s warm!
He enjoys his job and spending time with my family. he doesn’t much care for golf, never took up surfing, and doesn’t have the patience to fish. So when they go to the beach, they just chill & enjoy God’s creation (usually while reading a book and sippin’ a hot beverage from our favorite coffee shop).Contact Chris
