What is Tsunami

Tsunami is Port City Community Church’s middle school ministry. We don’t believe teenagers are just the future of the church – we believe they ARE the church! Our goal is to reach middle school students and partner with their families to help them walk with God and impact their world. As a part of Tsunami, each student should realize who God is, who they were created to be by Him, and how they can take the next step in their faith.

What We Value

Tsunami is all about getting to know your students and challenging them with the truth of God’s word to impact their world in a meaningful way. It is also a time when they learn how to worship and create positive community within the church. Tsunami is a ministry created to connect, inspire and challenge middle school students to know that they have purpose and to engage with their creator. Through music, message and controlled madness, our hope is that each student is taken to the next level with their walk with God.

What to Expect

Tsunami is a worship service your middle school student won’t want to miss. We call it the edge of chaos – combining worship and teaching with games and hang out time so that students are able to both learn and be part of a fun community. We end each evening in small groups so they can share their thoughts and questions on the message – this is the way we encourage students to grow together and in their own faith.
